this was the cover for a project a few folks worked on over the winter, with writing & poetry, comix and art.

Under Milk Wood

i think it's ok for me to post this...upcoming play on the 'pez! i sort of thrive on assignments like this; i didn't know anything about this story;  i've never read any Dylan Thomas, but i had fun doing the research. i know, i'm a geek.

mitrebox contracting & woodworks

i did 5 of these for bill a couple of years ago; it wasn't until yesterday that i saw one and had time to stop and take a shot.

the L.I.F.E. trail is based on a Swiss system that is apparently popular in Europe, but our Lopez version is unique in that it is also a nature trail/preserve, and all of the signs are handpainted. kudos to steve for trusting me with this job! it got me through a couple of lopez winters.

a blast from the past: the fiddlehead salon

i know this pic isn't too clear, but it was one of my best signs. if anyone has a better picture of this one, from a couple/few years ago, please pass it on to me! thanks, b

this is from a few years ago when i had the second floor of the water tower (but i still offer all of those "services"). i know i need to post more signs in here; i've only got about one-third of them. i'm going to work on that this week!

isabel's coffee cup: before and after

i'm honored to have been trusted with this lopez village icon...

inside spiral

this is an older piece; it is the "negative space" from the vortex spiral which i turned into a 'sculpture' of sorts. it's on the wall inside the vortex cafe.

Coffea arabica ssp "Lopezius" var. "Isabel's"

Our beloved Isabel (Elizabeth) commissioned this one; The person saying "just say yes" (to whipped cream) is Julia, who ended up owning the business. I guess you will just have to go to the coffee shop to see this one up close, otherwise I would need a ladder and a light to take better photos.
